Areapeat research work

Areapeat, in cooperation with the University of Latvia, conducts research on the agrochemical properties of peat, the effectiveness of different peat mixtures on plant development. It is now known that even small amounts of special peat forms can improve certain agrochemical characteristics of the whole mixture. One example is substrates for use in hot climates. The water retention rate was increased and at the same time good air exchange in the plant root area was maintained.

Experiments with raw materials

These test results show that dark brown and black peat contain large amounts of growth promoters, which positively influence the development of plants from the early stages of their development.

Further experiments with different mixtures have found optimal solutions and improved substrates for different stages of plant development.
